We’re partnering with our Michelin-honored Cantonese sister restaurant Tiger Fork on our “3rd Annual Spring Night Market” –a traditional Chinese festival celebration on May 14. We’re once again transforming our 1000-person rooftop atop Union Market, plus our building’s second-level Dock5 event space, into a lively Hong Kong night market, decked out with illuminated lanterns, food stalls from guest chefs, pop-up shops from local artisans, cultural performances, DJs, baijiu and sake bars and more.
Tiger Fork’s executive chef Simon Lam will cook savory street food-inspired fare and unique sweets alongside new-this-year restaurants such as Chai Pani and Canton Disco, plus guest chefs from Love, Makoto, Daikaya, China Chilcano, CUT by Woldgang Puck, Toimoi, CHIBOO, Dan Dan Boy, Yume Asian Fusion, Yunnan by Potomac, Gwenies Pastries and more, at food stands throughout the open-air rooftop and the covered Dock5 event space.
Guests can peruse specialty gifts and wares (such as jewelry, ceramics, artwork, candles and more) from pop-up market stallsthroughout the celebration.
Festival drinkers will enjoy a special Baijiu + Sake Bar, pouring China’s national spirit, plus complimentary tastings of sake, soju and whiskey, and other themed cocktails, liquor, beer and wine for purchase.
There will also be cultural performances such as lion dancing from Shaolin Hung Fut Kung Fu School, traditional Chinese dancing with Zi Xia Music, Filipino hip-hop and spoken word, family-friendly activities such as face painting, origami, calligraphy and a slime station, a Dumpling Eating Competition sponsored by Laoban, and DJ OH.HI to keep the spirited energy going all night long.
Tickets to Tiger Fork and Hi-Lawn’s 3rd annual Spring Night Market are $5 on Eventbrite. All food, beverage and artisan crafts will be sold a la carte, first-come, first-served.
