We’re partnering with our Michelin-honored Cantonese sister restaurant Tiger Fork on our “3rd Annual Mid-Autumn Night Market” –a traditional Chinese festival celebration from October 1-2. We’re once again transforming our 1000-person rooftop atop Union Market into a lively two-day Hong Kong night market, decked out with illuminated lanterns, food stalls from guest chefs, pop-up shops from local artisans, cultural performances, late-night DJs, baijiu and sake bars, mooncakes and more.
Mid-Autumn is the second most important festival in China after Chinese New Year, and is a reunion time for families, celebrated by gathering for dinners, worshiping the moon, and eating mooncakes, etc.
Tiger Fork’s executive chef Simon Lam will cook savory street food-inspired fare and unique sweets alongside 14+ guest chefs/restaurants such as Love, Makoto, CUT DC, KAYU by Hiraya, Yume, CHIBOO, The Sister House, Yunnan by Potomac and Dan Dan Boy (with more to be announced soon) at food stands throughout the open-air rooftop and the covered Dock5 event space.
No mooncake festival is complete without its namesake sweets, and Toi Moi will serve symbolic, creative mooncakes.
Guests can peruse specialty gifts and wares (such as jewelry, kimonos, ceramics, artwork and more) from pop-up market stalls throughout the celebration.
Festival drinkers will enjoy a special Baijiu + Sake Bar, pouring China’s national spirit, plus an assortment of sake, and other liquor, themed cocktails, beer and wine.
There will also be cultural performances such as lion dancing and Kung Fu demos from Shaolin Hung Fut Kung Fu School taking place live on the lawn, while DJs EPX and Will Gralley will keep the spirited energy going both nights.
Entry to Tiger Fork’s 3rd Annual Mid-Autumn Night Market is $5 and tickets are available on Eventbrite. All food, beverage and artisan crafts will be sold a la carte, first-come, first-served.
